Enjoying what I love

After finishing my exams, I had a few weeks in which I used as 'quality camera' time. I took my camera everywhere I went for the next few weeks, going to places that I love going to as well as capturing both family moments and the landscape.
I went to many different places including,

  • Wimbourne Folk Festival
  • Lymington
  • London
  • Weymouth

...and many more.

By the time I got back to school I had taken well over 500 photographs, in which I picked out the best ones and have shown them below with contact sheets.
After looking through all of my photographs I chose 6 that I thought had best described my journey throughout my few weeks off.

'Folk dancers in need of sweets'

'I swear I saw my body around here somewhere?'

'Walking chairs'

'Anyone for a BBQ?'

'I want to go to the seaside'

'50p an ice-cream, I'll have 8 please'

After looking through my 6 final photographs I saw that they all had that sense of quirkiness to them, like a theme throughout a series.
There is a website that I often look at and have been for quite a while now that has given me a lot of inspiration through my time photographing, it's called 'You can't be serious'.
These photographs above remind me a lot of the photos on this website as they too have that quirkiness running throughout each photo which links them, kind of like a family of photos, which links to the family behind the photographs present on the site.

Why don't you have a look at the website yourself by clicking on the link below:

Hope you enjoy.
